Survey of IT leaders offers insights into 2009 IT purchasing plans

While the economic recession will affect IT purchasing plans for 2009, according to a recent survey of IT leaders, the news isn't all bad: Spending is expected to increase in key areas like information security, regulatory compliance and business software. The survey of 275 IT managers conducted by and also found that virtualization will continue to make gains in both enterprises and the midmarket.
