When Anne Margulies took over as state CIO of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, she faced challenges that are familiar to any CIO taking over the reins at an enterprise in the current economic environment: In a recession, every organization has to do more with less.
In part one of this podcast, Alexander B. BIOGRAPHY: Margulies has been CIO for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since July 2007. Prior to that, she was executive director of MIT OpenCourseWare, MIT's initiative to publish openly and freely over the Internet the basic teaching materials for essentially its entire curriculum.
