David Bashford, Founder, myITdirector
David Bashford is the founder of myITdirector (www.myitdirector.com), a
strategic advisory service for business and IT leaders. Currently based in
the UK, David has senior management experience with world-leading companies
and has directed programmes in Europe and Asia as well as North America.
David passionately believes that IT has a powerful, strategic role in every
organisation and is a thought-leader in areas of IT strategy, Business
Alignment and the role of the CIO.
Until 2002 David was CIO of the Economist Group, the highly-regarded global
media group with offices in 21 countries and was instrumental in developing
the prestigous Economist CIO conferences.
Previously David was with the Walt Disney Company for 11 years and was
Vice-President of IT for Walt Disney Television International, operating in
16 countries with turnover of just under $1 billion.
David started his career with CACI a leading providing of systems
integration and consumer analysis and has a Bachelors degree in Electronics
from University College London.
