Ning is an web-based social network platform that allows an organization to build customized social websites and interactive virtual communities

The Ning product contains a design studio that allows users to choose from a variety of themes and customization tools, or to design their own site theme using CSS. Ning allows organizations to share text, website content and multimedia with followers and receive feedback. Ning also permits built-in social integration with other social websites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Organizers, marketers, influencers and activists use Ning to promote user-generated content and engage in conversation with their organization's followers. Registered members can create a new social network with little or no technical skill or pay Ning developers to create a social network for them with a custom look and privacy settings. Currently, Ning offers both a basic subscription package and premium subscription options.
