It is clear to me that all providers need to have an IPv6 strategy and an implementation timeline in order to thrive. Some providers need to be aggressive with their timeline, others may choose to move more slowly, depending on their unique business situation, but all must move towards full IPv6 support with no feature gaps between IPv4 and IPv6 capabilities. IPv6 will soon become a litmus test for buyers evaluating technology providers, where a provider with a cohesive IPv6 plan signals prospects that they are investing in their future, and those without a good IPv6 story to tell will be labeled a technology laggard. Any providers without an IPv6 strategy today is already well behind the rest of the industry. All providers - Cloud providers too.
